Poster Text:
The Vesper Martini was created in 1953 by Ian Fleming in his James Bond novel Casino Royale. Bond orders it with precision, combining gin, vodka, and Kina Lillet, and names it after the alluring Vesper Lynd. The original recipe used Kina Lillet, a bitter French aperitif now replaced by Lillet Blanc or Cocchi Americano. Stronger than a traditional martini, the Vesper is bold and aromatic with a crisp, slightly bitter edge. It’s traditionally shaken, not stirred—just as Bond preferred. Once obscure, the cocktail has returned to popularity thanks to Bond’s lasting influence and a renewed interest in classic drinks with cinematic flair.
