Poster Text:
The Negroni cocktail was created in 1919 in Florence, Italy, at Caffè Casoni. Legend has it that Count Camillo Negroni, a regular patron, asked bartender Fosco Scarselli to strengthen his usual drink, the Americano, by replacing soda water with gin. The result was a bold blend of gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth, garnished with an orange peel instead of the traditional lemon twist. The drink quickly gained popularity and was named after Count Negroni in honor of its creator, becoming a timeless classic celebrated for its balance of bitter, sweet, and herbal notes.
